Bought these for my boyfriend as a Xmas gift. We go out X-country skiing every Sunday. He absolutely loves them. Not having to change the lenses is a major bonus. So far the tinting is working great. We’ll see if it works long term.
I have the old style with a fixed tint. Might have to splurge next year and buy myself this model.
I got the 0-4 Reactive and they're absolutely amazing. They change from clear to dark incredibly fast. And the fog is virtually non existent. Highly recommended.
I purchased the Lightyear OTG Googles (reactive 1-3) and a set of the Outdoor Master Pro Googles. I want to compare the quality, fit and contrast in low light conditions. The qualities are similar, but the Lightyear's have nicer foam and has ventilation. My glasses only fit in the Lightyear's. I use very small lenses glasses, btw. The Lightyear's are a bigger lense, which fits me better. I wear a size large helmet. For contrast, the Outdoor Master's Pro had the extra yellow lenses. Under low light conditions, the Lightyear's performed better, with a much sharper image. The other nice thing is the Lightyear's adapt automatically to the changing light conditions. For the Outdoor Master Pro, you will need to carry extra lenses.
Based on above I find the Lightyear OTG the best for my application. I am very happy with them.
J'ai récemment fait l'acquisition des lunettes Julbo Split directement chez mon optométriste, avec des verres adaptés à ma vue, et je dois dire que je suis vraiment impressionné !
La qualité visuelle
Ce qui m'a frappé dès le premier jour, c'est la qualité exceptionnelle des verres. La vision est parfaite, claire et nette, avec un champ de vision vraiment grand et optimal. C'est exactement ce que je cherchais pour mes activités sportives.
Le confort au quotidien
La monture est remarquablement légère et confortable. Je peux les porter pendant des heures sans aucune gêne. Le système 3D nose fit est un petit bijou – les lunettes tiennent parfaitement en place, même quand je transpire lors d'activités intenses. Que ce soit au tennis en salle, en randonnée alpine, en course à pied ou même en conduite automobile, elles restent bien en place.
La technologie REACTIV
Les verres photochromiques REACTIV sont vraiment efficaces. Ils s'adaptent suffisamment rapidement pour être pratiques même en conduite automobile, ce qui n'est pas le cas de tous les verres photochromiques sur le marché.
Un petit bémol
Mon seul reproche concerne le câble élastique fourni : il n'est pas assez long pour permettre plusieurs ajustements selon mes besoins. Rien de majeur, mais c'est un détail qui pourrait être amélioré.
Mon verdict
Après avoir essayé beaucoup de lunettes de sport adaptées à ma vue au fil des années, je peux affirmer sans hésiter que les Julbo Split sont les meilleures que j'ai portées. Elles combinent parfaitement performance, confort et polyvalence. Un achat que je recommande chaudement !

I’ve been wanting these reactiv glasses for a while.
Finally bought them. I’m a running, cyclist and cross country skier.
So far, they’re the best. So light weight and the vision adaptiv to the sunlight is crazy good technology.
My only comment is that I wanted vented glasses for avoid fog in my eyes. I still had the lenses foggy after my cross country skiing activity.
Otherwise, 10/10
10/10...or 5/5, either way these guys didn't fog up and I had great visibility the entire day, in a near white out snowboarding. Taking my goggles off I could barely see 30ft ahead, wearing them, I was able to see clearly for 60ft. It was -20C so naturally the nose was running and there was a lot of mouth breathing, and still no fogging. Fantastic field of view with the lense style. Would recommend to anyone.
For category 4 sunglasses, I expected them to be much darker. I don't see any problem driving with them at all. I hope they protect my eyes as expected, especially on sunny winter days. I think I would have preferred category 4 AND polarized lenses, but unfortunately, Julbo doesn't offer that option. The color and detail are very good through them. One of the hinges on the arm/temple has already loosened after only a few uses; I'm eager to see how they hold up after about a year. They fog up quite easily outdoors in cold weather. I thought Julbo sold high-end/quality sunglasses.
Je fondait beaucoup d'espoir pour ces lunettes de ski mais je suis déçue. Premièrement l'attache n'est vraiment pas facile, il faudrait qu'elle soit aimantée comme la plupart des lunettes de ski le sont et pour ouvrir le système de ventilation ce n'est pas si facile que montré dans la vidéo ! Même avec des gants il n'est pas facile de trouver le système de déclenchement. Grande déception en plus je ne pouvais pas les retourner car acheté en vente !
Not only are the lenses amazing, but this model that lets you pop out the lens (while keeping it attached and usable) and let air in to clear fog is the best way to deal with fogged up lenses. When I transition to hiking or doing some work I usually have to take my goggles off and put sunglasses on to reduce fog in my goggles. With these, I can keep them on and pop the lenses. Super efficient and I love it!
Arrived a day early! Goggles are well built, fit nicely over my glasses, and interface perfectly with my Smith Vantage helmet (L). Colour change is amazingly quick. I'm confident the unique ventilation system will solve my glasses fogging issues. Can't wait to try them out this winter!
Les lunettes sont parfaites pour tous les sports, en course à pied (trail vs route) j’ai la lense photochromatique qui s’ajuste quand je rentre dans la forêt. Même chose en vélo. J’adore tout.
Fit and styling are nice, the reactive lenses work great however mine came out of the box dirty and scratched.
The anti-fog coating on the inside of the lens has a very sticky feeling and seems to attract particles, fingerprints/smudges and scratches very easily. In my own haste to clean the lenses after receiving them I scratched them even more using the soft bag included. Water and mild soap and then air dry seems to be the only way to clean sans scratches.
For the price I expected a much higher quality and better QC.
I received the sunglasses within days of ordering. It was exactly what I was looking for. But within the same week I received them one of the temple arms broke off from the screw. Although I contacted Julbo numerous times I finally received a response. I was then informed that the 'part' would need to be ordered from France and would take up to 4 weeks. I guess I have to fix them myself when the part comes in. Never had an issue before this.
Ordered two months ago. Was told there was a delay, then an additional delay, then that it should arrive last week. Still hasn’t been shipped but no one is replying to my multiple emails. And there is no phone number to reach them. Is this a scam?

I just received my Around pair of sunglasses. I’m pleasantly surprised with overall quality and design. They are super light and fit is perfect. Definitely recommend these as this will be my go to daily sunglasses.

I bought the Julbo Explorer 2.0 but didn't fit me well. I've tried to contact the Julbo team to exchange my glasses but nobody has replied.
On the website they say I can't exchange my sunglasses because I bought them with 30% off but what should I do with a product that I can't use? ($300 product)

The lens adapts well to the sunlights
My eyes are highly light sensitive and dry (originally from consequences of severe snow blindness). These glasses protect my eyes well from sunlight and drying wind coming in from the sides and top and the Spectron 4 is dark enough.
I was very happy with $20 sport glasses, except for a very poor handling of frontal sweat during a heavy excercise (jogging). Ater a while you need to put these glasses in you pocket to continue the exercice.
These new Julbl glasses handle this much better. No fog or water drop in my eyes during a 1h jog in very wam and wet weather (30 deg C). I am confident will do better during rain....

Love the style, the frame, the reactiv lens and especially how light they are. They fit both road and mtb helmets perfectly.
The arms broke are very little use, the screws for the arms protrude out and are rather sharp.
