Just received my explorer 2.0 cameleon 2 days ago and tried them on a hike yesterday. I was really amazed and extremely happy with my purchase. I'm an avid hiker living in the Canadian Rockies and I have been struggling trying to find the right eyewear for my alpine adventures. I have sensitive eyes that also cry very easily with just a tiny bit of wind making my footsteps blurry and sometimes dangerous in exposed terrain. I often wear snow goggles but they are not ideal for uphills as they fog when sweating. Yesterday was extremely windy and I was very impressed with the protection I received. This is one very strong eyewear
Those sun glasses are excellent, same as previous Explorer 1.0. I only hope to find exchange lenses when those will scratch. Had previous explorer 1.0 and now, few years later, lenses are not available. Prefect shape frames will end up on Earth garbage pile, because lenses are not available anymore.
This is the second Explorer 2.0 I buy. This one is for a gift. The one I own I bought to climb Mont Blanc in the Alpes. These are perfect glasses for bright sunny days in the mountains, lakes or sea.
Great company with quality products and quick response times. The hubby was happy with the sunglasses as his eyes are very sensitive to light.
My 4th pair of these. My go to glasses for all bright light situations sailing, skiing, snowshoeing etc. Balanced, light, optically good and tough.
I own just under $1000 worth of Sherpa's and Vermont Classics. They are outstanding eye wear. I have sent numerous emails to Julbo with regards to further purchases and spare parts and to this day, have not received one response...and there were several emails. I will no longer purchase Julbo products nor will I recommend them to any friends whom which we all venture on glassiers together. Too bad...such a great product yet zero customer service. Very disappointed!
original order was cancelled due to lack of inventory -sale items so I reordered with fathers day discount and price was reasonable glasses are a little bit too wide for my head and I am not sure if I can make them any narrower ? They block the sun beautifully and as i do solar work every day on south facing roofs I need serious protection. If there is a narrower fitting glass I would buy it too!
They seems to have thought of every detail. The glasses are nicely customizable and the chamois bag and semi-hard case are a nice touch, too!
Love these glasses so far. This is the third pair of these I have ordered as they are the best solution I have found for my sensitive eyes, (serious glaucoma as well as retinal issues). These lenses protect very well, keeping all extraneous light and wind out of my eyes and allowing me to see clearly. Durable, lightweight and comfortable.
